Gaza News Update: Shelling Intensifies at Lebanon-Israel Border

According to Gaza news update shelling increased along Lebanon border.

Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, declared that it had hit eight targets in Israel. There are several military outposts, a group of Israeli soldiers, and barracks, according to the Gaza news update.

Israeli bombardment, including drone strikes, struck at least a dozen villages along Lebanon’s southern border, according to a Lebanese security source.

In a statement, the Israeli military claimed to have destroyed a “cell” in Lebanon that was attempting to fire artillery on other targets while also attempting to launch anti-tank missiles towards Israel.

It stated that no injuries from Israel’s shelling had been reported.

It was one of the bloodiest days in Lebanon, according to the security source, since Hezbollah and Israeli forces started exchanging gunfire on October 7, when the Hamas-Israel conflict broke out.

In its statements, Hezbollah claimed that its strikes were carried out “in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.”

The exchanges mark the deadliest border violence since Hezbollah and Israel’s month-long war in 2006.

In Lebanon, over seventy Hezbollah fighters and ten civilians have died, while in Israel, seven troops and ten other people have perished. Thousands more have escaped shelling on both sides.
