Cricketer Glenn Maxwell hospitalized for the late-night alcohol binge.
Australian cricket team’s all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was admitted to the hospital after his health deteriorated due to excessive consumption of alcohol late at night.
According to foreign media reports, Glenn Maxwell was taken to hospital by ambulance in Adelaide late on Friday after he fell ill after drinking at a party.
The Australian player was allowed to go home from the hospital the same day after being examined by the medical staff of the Royal Adelaide Hospital. The next day, Glenn Maxwell also attended the training camp organized for the T20 series.
According to media reports, Cricket Australia has started an investigation after this incident.
According to reports, the players of Australia and West Indies, who participated in the Test played at the Oval, also attended the concert, but Maxwell came to the concert separately.
It should be noted that Glenn Maxwell played the last match of the Big Bash on January 15 in which he represented the Melbourne Stars. He has also resigned from the captaincy of the Big Bash League team Melbourne Stars.
Cricket Australia has rested him for the ODI series against the West Indies, but he will be part of the squad for the T20I series against the West Indies.
