P.K observes Chehlum in honor of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and Karbala
The 40th day after Imam Hussain and his 72 companions were killed in Karbala by Yazidi forces is known as Chehlum or Arabian.
In order to prevent any undesirable circumstances, mourning processions are being held throughout Pakistan, especially in Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, and Peshawar.
The main funeral procession will leave from Nishter Park in Karachi, the largest metropolis in the nation, and end at Hussainia Iranian Imambargah Kharadar. The tiny parade will be joined by a number of people from various parts of the port city.
Routes leading to the center procession path were blocked off with containers, and a large detachment of police, Rangers, and other security personnel were stationed there.
In Lahore, where the annual Urs of Hazrat Data Gunj Bakhsh is also commemorated, similar security precautions have been implemented. Today is a holiday for all public and private schools in Karachi and Lahore.
Additionally, mourning processions will be held in Quetta, Multan, Sargodha, Peshawar, and other towns across the nation.
