Imran Khan to seek bail after non-bailable warrant in Toshakhana case.
On February 28, Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal of an Islamabad court issued an arrest warrant for the former prime minister that was not subject to a Protective bail requirement.
Once the Islamabad police arrived at former prime minister Imran Khan’s Zaman Park mansion to arrest him, a bail petition was made.
According to sources, Imran Khan will appear before the LHC today to request precautionary bail after Islamabad’s sessions court issued an arrest order for him in the Toshakhana case due to his non-appearance that is not subject to bail.
The Islamabad police claimed in a string of tweets that the former PM was eluding capture.
An Islamabad police spokeswoman said on Twitter that they arrived in Lahore to arrest the PTI leader in accordance with court instructions. After all legal conditions were satisfied, he declared that Khan would be taken into custody.
