Iran Foreign Minister Arrived in Pakistan on a One-Day Visit

The Iran Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullah arrived in Pakistan.

Iran Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has arrived in Islamabad on a one-day visit where he will try to reduce tension between Pakistan and Iran.

Sources in the Foreign Office said that the Iran Foreign Minister arrived in Pakistan on Sunday on a one-day visit.

And during his visit he will meet the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as security officials.

He said that the Iran Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet with his Pakistani counterpart, Jalil Abbas Jilani, and others. And Pakistan and Iran will try to reduce the recent tension.

During the Iran Foreign Minister’s visit, discussions will reportedly include the unfortunate loss of 9 Pakistani citizens in Iran.

Sources of the Foreign Office said that the dead bodies of 9 Pakistani citizens killed in Iran will be brought back home in the next 2 days.

It should be noted that the Iran foreign minister is visiting Pakistan at a time when relations between the two countries have been tense for some time.

The tension between the two countries started when 2 innocent children were killed and 3 girls were injured as a result of an attack by Iran in Pakistan’s airspace on January 17.

Less than 48 hours after Iran violated its airspace, Pakistan launched an attack on terrorist hideouts in the Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchistan in the early hours of January 18, in which several terrorists were killed.

On January 19, Pakistan’s Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and his Iranian counterpart Amir Abdul Hayan had a second telephone conversation after these events.

Mudassar Tipu:

The Pakistani ambassador to Iran, Mudassar Tipu, confirmed the incident and said that he is deeply shocked by the horrific killing of 9 Pakistanis in Sarawan.

The Pakistani embassy will provide full support to the bereaved families and requested Iran to cooperate in the investigation of the killing of the Pakistanis.
