Chief Shah Siraj-ul-Haq resigned from the post after defeat in the elections
In a tweet, Shah Siraj-ul-Haq said that accepting the responsibility for the defeat in the election, I have resigned from the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami.

The Jamaat-e-Islami spokesperson quoted Sirajul Haque as saying that he worked hard and made efforts, but he could not achieve the desired success in the 2024 elections. Siraj-ul-Haq appreciated the hard work of the workers and prayed that Allah accept their efforts.
According to him, Siraj-ul-Haq resigned from the post of Chairman of Jamaat-e-Islami after accepting the results of the elections.

The spokesperson further said that Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Ameer-ul-Azeem has convened a Shura meeting on February 17 at Jamaat-e-Islami’s head office in Mansoorah.
The situation after the resignation will be reviewed in the Mansoorah Shura meeting starting at 10 am. He announced that the future action plan of Jamaat-e-Islami will be decided by Shura.
