Moeen Ali Unhappy with International Cricket Schedule

Moeen Ali, all-rounder for England, is unhappy with cricket schedule.

Less than a week after winning the T20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday, the English team was slated to play a three-match ODI series against Australia then Moeen Ali was unhappy.

At the Melbourne Cricket Ground, England’s Jos Buttler-led team defeated Pakistan by a margin of five wickets to win their second T20 World Cup.

The big final included Sam Curran and Ben Stokes, who helped their country win. At the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Stokes scored 52 runs in 49 balls against the green shirts while the bowler grabbed three wickets.

Beginning on November 17 at the Adelaide Oval, the three-match ODI series between England and Australia will begin. Moeen claimed that because they are resting every two to three days, the players cannot give their all.

It’s awful to have a game in three days. However, it’s preferable to two days. If Sunday had rained, it would have been two days (since the reserve day would have been used).

Moeen told The Cricketer

We’re getting used to that as gamers now. But when you play every two to three days, it might be challenging to give your best. It has been going on for a while.

Since we had a Test match against Ireland roughly ten days after the World Cup and an Ashes game two weeks after that. Such conduct is regrettable.

We want to enjoy, celebrate, and have that time together as a group because you put so much into it. It’s not just during the competition; there is also the build-up before the competition, among other things,” he continued.

Michael Clarke, a former Australia captain, criticized Moeen’s assertion, suggesting that players shouldn’t play franchise cricket in order to stay fresh.

“I don’t believe you’d hear anyone complain if it were playing in the T20 World Cup and then getting on a plane to go to the IPL the next day.”

“When players are taking advantage of the chance to play domestic cricket for franchises for money when they have those six or eight weeks off, they can’t moan about the international  Cricket schedule. You would then be as vibrant as a flower. I definitely found that to be very difficult “On Fox Sports, he stated.
