Pakistani Woman Becomes First South Asian VP of ACCA

Ayla is the first South Asian woman to be chosen as the Vice President of ACCA in the organization’s 118-year history.

In this regard, Ayla stated that she would like to express her gratitude for being elected to the ACCA Global Council.

She thanked the ACCA for allowing her to continue her role on the council, which is working to increase the ACCA’s global reach, relevance, and recognition.

It is added by Ayla that talented members ran in this year’s ACCA elections, and she is overjoy that the election process is evolving along with the profession.

VP of ACCA’s Bio:

Ayla holds an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) as well as an LLB (Hons) from the University of London.

Ayla also attended Harvard Kennedy School, Oxford University, and Nanyang Technological University. She has over 20 years of transaction advisory, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance experience.

Ayla is an international speaker and a strong supporter of sustainability; So she contributes to important topics such as digital transformation, the Belt and Road Initiative, the Future of Work, the Future of Energy, and Sustainable Infrastructure.

Ayla serves on boards of directors in the energy, pharmaceutical, and non-profit sectors. She is also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Energy and a WEF Young Global Leader.
