Sindh govt declares 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal a public holiday the province.

Sunday, October 9 is a religious Public holiday. According to a notification issued from the Sindh government, offices, autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under its control that are administrative will close on the day.

However, essential services and offices engaged in the emergency for COVID-19 remain operational.In Pakistan, the moon seemed on September 27 to mark the start of Rabi ul Awal.

Muslims in Pakistan and across the world commemorate the 12th Rabi Awal which is the day when the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born. Pakistan’s streets bathe in colorful lights right when the moon sighting marks the first day of the month of holy celebrations taking place across the month.

People illuminate streets, buildings, and mosques across the country with beautiful lights to celebrate an occasion that is auspicious. Every year, the government, religious organizations, Milad committees, and individuals plan a large number of activities, comprising processions, seminars, conferences, and discussion programs to mark the event that is annual.

The month of Prophet’s (S.A.W.) birth

Before the Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) was born, people were living in a continuing state of ignorance and darkness. They worshiped deities that are different. They were diverting from Allah’s way. The message of Allah, His Oneness as the Prophet (S.A.W.) was born, he brought with him the Message of Truth. This message led the social people towards the path of enlightenment, helping them distinguish between right and wrong.
