TLP candidates Saqib Nawaz Jan shot dead in PP-29, amid a disputes.
Saqib Nawaz Jan, a Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) candidate in PP-29, was shot dead and killed by his opponents over a land dispute, local police said the media.
Police officers responded to the murder, filed a report, and started an investigation.
Two persons connected to the event were taken into custody by the police during the raids.
In the meantime, upon his passing, Saqib Nawaz Jan’s candidacy from PP-29 for the next elections was withdrawn.
Following months of conjecture, Pakistan declared the date of the election, and political parties are now preparing for the eagerly awaited polls.
The ECP is moving closer to releasing the final list of candidates qualified to run in the upcoming general elections with the initial approval of nomination papers for a number of political heavyweights granted.
