Iran President Ebrahim Raisi to arrive in Pakistan Today

Iran President arrived in Islamabad on a three-day visit to Pakistan.

A public holiday has been declared in Karachi on the occasion of the arrival of Iran President Ebrahim Raisi in Pakistan.

President Raisi will meet with the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chairman of the Senate, and the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan during her visit. In addition, he will meet with the provincial leaders in Karachi and Lahore.

The Foreign Office Spokesperson stated in a press statement on Sunday that “the Iranian President will be accompanied by his spouse and a high-level delegation comprising the Foreign Minister and other members of the cabinet, senior officials as well as a large business delegation.”

Following the general elections in February, this will be the first state visit by a head of state to Pakistan. To improve collaboration in a variety of areas, including trade, connectivity, energy, agriculture, and people-to-people interactions, the two sides will pursue a broad agenda.

In addition, they will talk about bilateral cooperation to counter the shared threat of terrorism as well as regional and worldwide events.

Strong bilateral relations rooted in history, culture, and religion exist between Pakistan and Iran. It was also stated that “this visit offers a significant opportunity to further strengthen Pakistan-Iran relations.”
