Clash between MQM & PPP Party in Karachi, MQM unit in-charge killed.
A worker of a political party was killed as a result of heavy firing during a violent clash between two political parties PPP and MQM at Nazimabad No. 2 Multi Chowk.
Another political party worker was injured in this incident.
The agitators set fire to two double cabin vehicles and broke the windows of several vehicles.
A heavy contingent of police and rangers reached the spot and detained 4 people on suspicion of firing.
During the clash between workers of two political parties near Nazimabad No. 2 Multi Chowk on Sunday and Monday night, the area echoed with heavy firing.
The armed men charged several vehicles with sticks, which also broke the windows of the vehicles.
One of the injured individuals was transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in a private vehicle, while the other injured person was intended to be taken to the hospital in the police mobile.
However, due to ongoing firing, the police mobile was unable to leave the area.
Later, he was shifted in a Vigo vehicle and taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors declared the injured person brought dead.
According to the police, the deceased person has been identified as 44-year-old Faraz Ahmed Qureshi son of Ghayoor Ahmed Qureshi.
While the injured youth has been identified as 25-year-old Rao Muhammad Talha son of Rao Muhammad Salim.
Gulbahar police station:
Two mobiles of Gulbahar police station reached the spot which is some distance from the spot, but despite the presence of the police, the firing continued as a result of which two people were injured.
A fire brigade vehicle rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control while the owners of the burning vehicles reached their vehicles sitting in the Rangers’ mobile.
But by that time both the vehicles were completely gutted due to fire.
The police say that four people have been arrested on suspicion of firing from the crime scene and investigations have started, while several shells have been found from the crime scene and have been sent for forensics.
