KEMU Wedding photoshoot sparks criticism of administration’s decision.
The problem surfaced following wedding-related Instagram posts featuring the KEMU building in the background. The university building is almost 150 years old, as should be noted.
The wedded pair could be seen roaming around the ancient landmark and striking various positions for pictures in the footage. Social media users claimed that the KEMU is not a tourist destination or wedding Photoshoot place.
Sorry, my college isn’t your wedding hall.
Not a single student of King Edward Medical college is allowed in these grounds, or the library adjacent to it past 5pm but I guess the same restriction doesn’t extend to a photographer trying to reduce this college to a backdrop. 1/n https://t.co/8BYhrFRNkp

A university official, however, claimed that the pair did not have management’s approval and that the photographers broke onto the campus after it had closed. While a more thorough investigation is being conducted with the use of CCTV evidence, he continued to insist that the security personnel had given them permission to enter.
A three-member investigation panel has just been established by the Registrar of KEMU Lahore, Dr. Riasat Ali, to look into the wedding photography that took place at the university’s Patiala Block. Director IT Muhammad Tariq Arfan and Director Admin Muhammad Shafiq are members of the panel under the direction of Dr. Riasat Ali.
