According to local media reports, Arshad Jamal, a real estate agent in Rawalpindi, committed suicide during a financial dispute.
The man is seen taking his own life in the CCTV footage of the incident that went viral. A police probe was prompted by the suicide’s widespread dissemination.

In the video, Jamal meets someone in an office. After a brief exchange of words, he draws a revolver and shoots himself.
Police gathered evidence and took Jamal’s body to a hospital. A preliminary report has been prepared, according to SHO Rawat, based on statements made by Jamal’s nephew.
His nephew reported to the police that he was involved in a Rs300 million financial dispute with Sheikh Tayyab.
