First woman president of Pakistan Hockey Federation has been elected.
Yesterday, the Congress has elected Shehla Raza, an important figure of Pakistan People’s Party and Member of National Assembly, as the first woman president of Pakistan Hockey Federation.
The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Congress met at a nearby hotel in Karachi. Representatives of Pakistan Customs and National Bank were also present during the PHF Congress. 54 out of 64 members attended the Congress session.

On this occasion, Congress elected Member of National Assembly Shehla Raza as President’s of Pakistan Hockey Federation. Shuja Iqbal Pasha was elected as Finance Secretary and Raja Shuja as Treasurer.
Notably, she has been elected as the first woman president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation. Shehla Raza has also held the post of Vice President of PHF.
Shehla also directed the scrutiny committee to finish the examination process in two months and announced the hiring of Olympian Samiullah Khan as an advisor to the PHF President.
It is important to note that Tariq Bugti is the president of another organization that is in charge of PHF. Additionally, this group has scheduled a meeting in Islamabad.
