Barrister Gohar Ali Khan was Removed from the Post of PTI Chairman

0

Gohar was “removed” as the chairman for “unsatisfactory” performance.

Sher Afzal Marwat, a former leader of the ruling party, said on Friday that Barrister Gohar Ali Khan was “removed” from his position as the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) due to his “unsatisfactory” performance.

He made these comments the day after Gohar declared Barrister Ali Zafar to be the PTI’s nominee for chairman. On March 3, there will be internal elections within the party.

The top position in the erstwhile ruling party had been unoccupied for over a month following the invalidation of its intra-party elections by the Supreme Court and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), which also terminated the party’s famous ‘bat’ emblem.

As a result, Gohar was no longer the leader of the party; instead, he was elected chairman. However, the party has selected someone else in advance of its next elections.

Speaking with Geo News, Marwat stated: “Gohar’s removal as chairman is the result of incompetence and poor performance.” Although Barrister Gohar is a gentleman, his performance fell short.

The PTI leader stated in response to a query that Gohar did not live up to the expectations of the workers. “One must be active at all times to run a party office, but this did not happen.”

Leadership Actions

He claimed that the party leadership’s actions after the election were unacceptable and that Gohar ought to have taken the reins after the results, but he was unable to do so.

A day prior, Gohar declared, “This time, our candidate for party chairman will be Barrister Ali Zafar and Omar Ayub secretary general,” proclaiming the winner for the top position.

He advised everyone to use every effort to guarantee Zafar’s election as the party’s next chairman.

Raoof Hasan, the spokesperson for the PTI, had declared that on February 5, there would be elections within the party to choose the chairman as well as central and provincial organising bodies. However, the party decided to postpone the elections.

Candidates who want to run in the intra-party polls can turn in their nomination papers on February 23 and 24, and the nominations will be reviewed on February 25, according to the PTI’s revised election schedule.

On February 27, the party’s central office and provincial secretariats will release the final choices for nomination papers. On March 3, voting will take place.

Why was Journalist Imran Riaz Arrested Again?

0

Imran Riaz was sent to jail after being arrested in a corruption case.

After being detained late on Thursday night, Lahore-based journalist Imran Riaz was sentenced to arrested on Friday in a corruption case by the Lahore district and sessions court.

After being brought before Judicial Magistrate Imran Abid by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE), Imran Riaz made an appearance.

The ACE claims that Riaz and his father were responsible for obtaining a contract at an exorbitant cost for Dharabi Lake in Chakwal.

In the initial information report (FIR) filed against Riaz, the Pakistan Penal Code’s Sections 34 (multiple persons acting in concert to accomplish a common goal), 161 (public servant receiving satisfaction other than that which is legally required in relation to an official act), and 162 (public servant receiving satisfaction in order to influence another public servant through corrupt or unlawful means) are invoked.

It also makes use of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947, Section 5(2)47, which deals with criminal wrongdoing. A 14-day physical remand for Riaz was requested by the ACE during the hearing.

Rana Maroof, one of Riaz’s attorneys, contended that Riaz’s father had never held a position in the government, claiming that the charges against his client were illegal and untrue.

Maroof said, “Imran Riaz was arrested like a terrorist,” arguing that Riaz had not caused damage to the national coffers.

Speaking at the hearing, Riaz asserted, “These individuals visited my home. I gave myself over to them.

They were told to stay out of my house. After forcing me to sit in the car, they went into my house.

My house was searched for fifteen minutes. “The previous contract was Rs11 million,” he said, accusing the officials of lying about the deal. We agreed to this contract for more than Rs 4 million.

Corruption

Riaz expressed shock and disapproval at the acts of the authorities, implying that his detention was carried out for political reasons. He argued that his father was innocent and asked that he be taken out of the FIR.

Riaz pledged to keep up the fight against corruption and showed faith in the legal system. Concerning his purported kidnapping, he also emphasized that his location had been unclear for a while.

After being freed, Riaz’s father, Muhammad Riaz, filed a police report (FIR) at the Sialkot Civil Lines police station on May 16 in relation to his alleged kidnapping.

Understanding Painless Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal technology has advanced significantly in recent years, making it more accessible for home use. These devices target the hair follicles, emitting concentrated light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. This light energy converts to heat, damaging the follicle and inhibiting future hair growth.

How Does It Work?

  • The laser device is placed on the skin, where it emits pulses of light energy.
  • The melanin in the hair absorbs the light, effectively destroying the hair follicle.
  • Over time, with repeated sessions, hair becomes thinner and sparser until it eventually stops growing altogether.

Benefits of At-Home Laser Hair Removal

  • Convenient: Say goodbye to scheduling salon appointments and save time by treating yourself at home.
  • Cost-effective: While the initial investment may seem steep, it is much more affordable in the long run compared to frequent salon visits.
  • Comfort: At-home devices are designed with comfort in mind, offering adjustable settings to suit your tolerance levels.

Choosing the Right Device for You

With a myriad of at-home laser hair removal devices on the market, it’s essential to select the right one for your needs. Consider factors such as skin tone, hair color, and desired treatment areas when making your choice.

Factors to Consider

  • Skin Tone: Some devices are more effective on lighter skin tones, while others are safe for darker skin.
  • Hair Color: Not all devices work effectively on light blonde, red, or grey hair.
  • Treatment Areas: Ensure the device is suitable for the areas you wish to target, whether it’s the face, legs, underarms, or bikini line.

Tips for Optimal Results

To maximize the effectiveness of your at-home laser hair removal sessions, follow these tips:

Preparing for Treatment

  • Shave the treatment area beforehand to ensure the laser energy targets the hair follicle directly.
  • Cleanse the skin to remove any products or residue that may interfere with the treatment.

During Treatment

  • Start with a lower intensity setting and gradually increase it as you become accustomed to the sensation.
  • Follow the recommended treatment schedule for best results, usually every 1-2 weeks.

Aftercare

  • Apply soothing creams or aloe vera gel to calm the skin post-treatment.
  • Avoid sun exposure on treated areas to prevent skin damage.
